Super-curing, a manufacturer of UV curing adhesives and UV LED curing systems, has expanded its UV Cure Adhesives range with seven new grades engineered for glass-to-metal and plastic bonding. The new series delivers fast, clean and durable assembly across electronics, security, optical and packaging manufacturing.
The launch introduces one specialty glass-to-metal grade and a family of six plastic and multi-substrate adhesives, giving engineers a single, reliable source for bonding glass, metal, PET, acrylic, PC, PVC, ABS and more. Every new grade cures on demand under UV light, improving yield and reducing work-in-progress compared with traditional adhesives.
The range spans seven grades. In glass-to-metal bonding, the 3022 adhesive bonds glass with aluminum and stainless steel sheets, inks and plating layers, curing at 500 mJ/cm2 with flexible vibration resistance and low shrinkage, while the 3027 grade serves glass with aluminum alloy lens covers, curing at 600 mJ/cm2 with fast cure and waterproof strength. In plastic bonding, the 3321 acrylic-to-PET adhesive cures at 300 mJ/cm2 with low viscosity and anti-yellowing clarity for PET, APET, PE, TPU, TAC and some PP, the 3325 general purpose grade bonds PMMA, PC, PVC, ABS, PS, AS and PET at 600 mJ/cm2 for low cost general purpose work, the 3327 PET adhesive positions in one second at just 50 mJ/cm2 for PET, APET and PETG, the 3323 plastic hook adhesive pairs a tough formula with high bond strength at 100 mJ/cm2, and the 3326 plastic-to-glass adhesive delivers medium viscosity with high strength at 700 mJ/cm2.
The 3022 grade is formulated for where flexibility and long-term stability matter most, such as the glass and metal assembly of electronic scales. Its flexible formulation provides excellent vibration resistance, while its low shrinkage keeps deformation to a minimum. It resists high temperature and humidity and remains free of whitening and bubbling after long-term curing, bonding glass to aluminum and stainless steel sheets as well as to inks and plating layers. For security camera lens covers, the 3027 grade combines a medium-high viscosity of 5,500 mPa.s with fast curing at 600 mJ/cm2, excellent surface dry performance and strong waterproof performance, reaching a Shore D 75 hardness with a 29 MPa tensile strength.
The plastic family targets materials that are notoriously difficult to join. The 3321 acrylic-to-PET adhesive uses a low-viscosity, fast-curing formula that stays transparent and resists yellowing, bonding PET, APET, PE, TPU, TAC and even some PP for optical films and packaging boxes. Where cost efficiency leads, the 3325 general purpose plastic adhesive offers low viscosity and good leveling with adhesion to plastics, inks and plating layers for medium to large area bonding. For PET packaging lines that demand speed, the 3327 PET adhesive positions in as little as one second with very strong adhesion to PET, APET and PETG. The 3323 plastic hook adhesive pairs a tough formula with high bond strength for adhesive hooks and plastic crafts, and the 3326 plastic-to-glass adhesive delivers a medium viscosity and fast cure for plastic-to-glass and mixed-substrate bonding.
UV curing adhesives cure only when exposed to UV light, giving manufacturers precise control over the bonding process.
